Death Toll of West Sumatera Earthquake is at 704 people.
As of Tuesday (6 / 10) 10:00am Operation Command Centre (Pusdalops) – of the Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that the death toll from last Wednesday’s (30/09) 7.6 on the Richter scale magnitude earthquake is at 704 people, which is an increase of 79 victims from the last official press release. So far, we have received details that the number of dead according to their particulars are: 327 people from the city of Padang, 37 people from Pariaman, 3 people from Solok City, 292 people from the Padang Pariaman district, 10 people from the South Coastal district, 32 people from the Agam district and 3 people from the West Pasaman district. This data was obtained from the Natural Disaster Response Organization on the 5 of October, 2009 at 20:00pm.
