Indonesian Tourism Promotion in Adelaide

The Indonesian Consulate General in Sydney, in conjunction with the Bali Village and the Indonesian Department of Culture and Tourism (Depbudpar) hosted the Indonesian Tourism Sales Mission on October 1, 2009, in Adelaide. The event was to promote Indonesian tourism ‘Bali and Beyond’, to the Adelaide tourism industry. Both the Consul General from the Indonesian Consulate General in Sydney and the Director of Tourism Marketing Depbudpar were present at the occasion.

Depbudpar has been actively promoting Indonesian tourism in Australia, since the dramatic increase of Australian tourists to Indonesia during the year 2008 to 2009. This year has seen a recorded 26% increase in the flow of Australian tourists from the same period last year.

Similar activities have been scheduled for Sydney on 7 – 8 October, 2009.
